For the last 35 years, people living in New York have had easy access to lawyers thanks to The New York State Bar Association. Through its public service provider, Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS), the association has been matching clients to lawyers. According to Lawyer Elena Jaffe Tastensen, practicing under LRIS has helped her grow her law practice, enabling her to offer legal services to an unprecedentedly large number of people.
The Online Portal
The world of today is all about convenience. Most organizations are increasingly placing their brands and services online, in an attempt to offer the much-needed convenience to their clients. The New York State Bar Association could not afford to be left behind. Recently, the Association launched an online portal through its public service provider, Lawyer Referral and Information Services (LRIS). The portal, which will be operating for 24 hours on a daily basis, will provide a confidential platform for their clients to access legal solutions conveniently.
Proved Lawyers’ Credentials
The online portal was designed in partnership with the technology management firm, Legal.io, whose credibility record increased the public confidence in the portal. A telephone service line further complemented the portal that clients could use to contact lawyers at LRIS. The New York State Bar Association took the responsibility of reviewing these lawyers’ credentials and legal standings, which meant that clients were assured of getting first class legal services at LRIS. The portal is more than just convenience. It also provides customers with pocket-friendly legal services. Lawyers, on the other hand, have a platform to reach out to additional clients.
